We are new in Maplewood and are seeking a piano teacher for our six-year old daughter, and perhaps myself as well. Could anyone make a good recommendation?

She teaches kids and adults in NY but hasn't set up her practice in Maplewood yet, and perhaps you could be her first (two).

There is a banner ad on MOL for Claudia Hickman. She is probably in the sponsors' menu on the front page on MOL.
I do not know anything about Claudia other than her banner ads here.

Helene Webb is a great piano teacher, both of my daughters have studied with her for years. I don't know if she has any openings, but she is great!

Helene's number is 973-762-3164. She taught both my daughter (as a youngster) and my husband (as an oldster). Both loved her.

Hi Ellen, I don't know if you have chosen a teacher yet, but I will say that Claudine Hickman (she is a MOL sponsor) taught our kids for two years and was excellent. She is patient, innovative and inspiring. We recently moved to MA and our kids asked when could they start lessons up here...I was really happy to hear that. Kudos to Claudine! Good luck. |
