Anybody old enough to remember the classic oldies from the 50's and 60's? I found this great new station on AM radio WMTR 1250 or 1170. What great memories from all these oldies but goodies.. |

I agree--I found these stations only recently. (Saw a small item in the Star-Ledger.) I used to listen to WCBS-FM but they dropped the 50's music in favor of the 70's--ugh! Doo-wop is still my favorite, even though it was already "oldies" when I was a teenager. Plus WMTR has many fewer commercials than WCBS. |

My (Slightly) older brother turned me on to WMTR a few weeks ago. Pretty good. On the drive down to MAryland, there is a Philly station and a D.C. station that are both terrific for oldies. Anyone know if they are available online? NCJ aka LibraryLady On a coffee break..or something like it. |

The Philly station is good--I think it is 98.1. I have been having trouble with WMTR in the car in the evening--some other station comes in over it. Also they don't play music all the time--tonight they had some guy talking about what seemed like random topics like "Don't spend $150 a bottle for diet pills." And they broadcast Syracuse basketball games. |

We've been listening to WFUV from Fordham...90.3 most of WNEW fm old crew. Great play list as well! |

WFUV's the best. Just wish you didn't need a satelite to get good reception in the house. Personal faves are Vin Scelsa and Pete Fornatele but I'm old. |

Some performances on the WFUV Live CDs (available when you pledge) are excellent. Another good reason to support WFUV. |

Uke: I listen to WFUV streaming live on my computer--don't need a satellite. It does help to have a high speed connection. |
