I discovered last weekend that my camcorder doesn't bounce. Does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonable local place to have it repaired?

Thanks in advance!

Your best bet is to contact the manufacturer and find out where the authorized repair facility is located. Many places have a minimum fee that they charge, so depending on the age of your cam you might be better off buying a new one.
