We recently bought a new VCR/DVD under the assumption that our old VCR was on the blink. (Snowy screen, with sound) Unfortunately, when we plugged everything in with a new VCR/DVD, according to the instructions, we are having the same problem. We can't seem to figure it out. Our TV is, granted, not that new, but we were able to use a VCR for years. Any electronic geniuses out there? |

I’m sure this is an easy fix but it’s difficult to do with out seeing the connections. Can you try to hook it up to another TV in order to make sure it’s not a cable problem? Are you hooking the VCR up with three cables or 1?

Try changing your tv to channels 3,4,90,91,and 92 to see if there is any picture. There are many ways to connect the VCR to the TV, do you remember which one you used? How was it decribed in the manual. Also is the VCR connected directly to your TV or is it running through another device such as Cable box/Sattelite receiver. |

That happened to us when we purchased a new VCR. I always thought that setting the tv on channel 3 was the standard -- but our new VCR only works when the tv is on channel 4. I really don't get it. |
