Very interesting story about how they've combined local government functions in the metropolitan suburban Minneapolis area. NJ is even worse than most areas when it comes to too many municipalities with duplicated services and lack of cohesive organization. Too bad NJ hasn't considered some kind of thing like this -- could cut taxes while improving efficiency. Anyway, at the very least, this is interesting reading.
