Okay, stand facing the harbor. Go to your left, Fells Point - GREAT Italian if you're into it (if only I could remember the name of my favorite, way back when.....) Also, unless you want to go to Annapolis - a great trip, maybe a great 'nother weekend - you don't need to find brunch there. On a re-read, maybe the Admiral Fell is on that side of the harbor....

Bertha's Mussels.

My brother attended a college in Md. He came home with an Eat Bertha's Muscles bumper sticker that he placed on a car that we shared. I just loooved driving around town with that #$%@# bumper sticker. Not!

A wonderful little Scotch bar called Birds of a Feather lies in Fells Point. Looks like a very, very small pub with a wall full of Scoth. Neat owners. Stop in and sample the widest array of the smoothest Scotches the world has ever seen.

I/we second Bertha's Mussels. Some cool little shops around there, too. If you go up the hill into Baltimore, another funky little bar is the Midtown Yacht Club.

Fort McHenry is interesting. A famous song was written there, too...
(Skip the science museum.)
And you can tour the USS Constitution in the harbor.
Kids? Definitely Port Discovery

We really enjoyed the CONSTITUTION and Fort McHenry, and of course, the Aquarium. Also, Johns Hopkins owns a couple of beautiful historic homes that you can tour -- I believe the one we saw was called Evergreen; lovely museum house if you like that sort of thing. Also -- ride the water taxis to everything around the harbor. You buy a day ticket and can ride as often as you like. Much easier than driving, and fun.

Is the water taxi enclosed? It's winter!

If you're a baseball fan, the Babe Ruth Museum is a few blocks from the Harbor. There's also a great tour available of Camden Yards.

The American Visionary Art Museum. It's a must see if you're in Baltimore. http://www.avam.org/

The water taxis have enclosed cabins. I assume they run in the winter...

Along with the mussels order the bottle of muscadet (a Loire white) Bertha's has on the wine list. They're a perfect combo.

There's a railroad museum near the harbor. It's not very big, but I enjoyed it. I was there way back in 1989.

The trip has been canceled due to an ungrateful B**CH. Thank you anyway.
