I am looking to replace my thermostat. Most of the ones I see for sale are for use with 24 volts. How can I tell if thats what I need?

1. Use a volt meter and measure the voltage on the one you have.

2. Open the one you have now and look for a voltage sticker.

3. Look around the basement for a small transformer that feeds the Tstat and look for a voltage sticker or stamp.

4. Look in the fire box of your heating unit. If you find a small unit that sticks in the flame of the pilot light, you likely have a millivolt unit.

5. Call me and have me figure it out for you.
