Is there someplace you can take a child's stuffed animal to get it refurbished? |

I'm not sure if this will help, but I remember taking a favorite teddy bear to a doll hospital in Scotch Plains near route 22 many many years ago. I probably found it in the Yellow Pages. |

Depending on the nature of the refurbishing: I believe that drycleaner's can clean the fuzzy little guys if it's a matter of grubbyiness. Washing them in the washer in a net bag works, but sometimes the texture of their fur gets messed up. I've done both strategies. For the bodies, personally, I've opened a seam and restuffed; you can buy the necessary filling at craft/sewing stores. You can also usually buy the various kinds of button eyes. But, if you need more help, as ffof suggests, doll hospitals can usually do the job. |
