Does anyone know the name of the guy who runs the kids' soccer program on Sundays in the gym at South Orange Middle School? The guy is amazing --he spends hours giving thoughtful, caring instruction to these kids. He's brilliant. It has the potential to be a chaotic waste of time. Somehow, he gets their attention, teaches them a thing or two, and they end up having fun. If I was running things, I'd go berserk after about 10 minutes, and they'd be running around like a bunch of crazed mice while I retreated to a corner and read a book.

I agree Ligeti. He does a great job keeping the kids involved and instructing them along the way.

Unfortunately, I don't know his name either.

I agree. I think he does a great job. However, he does a great job with the team he is coaching. When they split into two teams and his "helper" is supposed to reinforce his coaching with his team...he does nothing. The learning experience seems one sided. If your kid is not on the coaches team, they don't learn as well as they could/should.
