Has anyone been to Sampan (the new Asian place where Chan's used to be) since the last posting on January 30th?

Yes- I actually went after several people recommended it. Thought it was very good. The Malaysian/Singaporean stuff was excellent, the Chinese and non-sushi Japanese very good and the pad Thai was very good too- not great, but definitely edible and then some.
Sampan is the best Asian food I've had in the immediate area .
The deliver too- to Millburn, anyway- and the people working there are very friendly and nice.
Definitely family-friendly too, sort of place you could take toddlers.

Went Friday night. Myh daughter loved the spicy vegetarian options and Mr. LL was able to get his black bean sauce and pork. The thai soup with prawns was great, super spicy, but I wasn't thrilled with the satay or the spring rolls. Service also needs to be tweaked as it took multiple requests to get sufficent rice. But the place is new and I certainly will go back in several weeks to try it again.
