One of my coworkers is looking for a good tenant lawyer in NYC, and I thought that I'd ask the collective wisdom of the board! (especially the ex-New Yorkers among us)

She is facing a nasty situation...landlord negligence, water damage, heavy mold...withheld rent for the time that she couldn't live in the apartment. Now the landlord is asking for a punative rent increase ($500/mo) and threatening lawsuit for the withheld rent.

Does anyone have recommendations for a good lawyer who does this sort of work in the City?

Many thanks in advance

Talk to David Frazer, (212) 285-1300, a well-known tenant's lawyer and Maplewood community member as well
