We are new to town and are interested in attending one. Does anyone know about the different Presbyterian churches? We have an infant and would like a church with other young families. |

Wyoming Presbyterian Church on Wyoming Avenue in Millburn has great child care for infants and Sunday School for older kids during church services which are held on Sunday at 10:00pm. You can call the ofice if you have more questions at 376-3066. Minister is Ron Johnson. THere are many many young families. THe church is most welcoming of newcomers and visitors. |

There is also Prospect Presbyterian in Maplewood. I'm not a member, but I know the Pastor and a number of the members, and it seems to be an active and vibrant community. And, there's a website: http://www.prospectchurch.org/ |

Nothing like a couple of dueling Presbyterians. And for some reason I always thought FFOF was Jewish. |

Welcome to Maplewood, Spanky. Which Presbyterian church do you currently attend? Even though we've been here for more than 3 years, we still can't tear away from our current congregation in mid-town. Thankfully, the worship service is at 11:15AM, not 10AM! Though we haven't attend here, I've heard many good things about Central Presbyterian in Summit (70 Maple Ave). Their website: www.centralpres.org.

Thanks for the information everyone. Maybe we'll check out both mentioned churches to see which is a better "fit". Xavier67 we don't really have a local church yet. Now that the baby is here, we'd like to go more regularly. Mid-town on a Sunday would be kind of a haul, but I can understand not wanting to leave your congregation! |

Spanky... Why not try visiting Prospect, Wyoming and First Pres and see for yourself? Prospect is a very vibrant church family. Lots of diversity, and many programs to choose from. Nursery care is provided for many activities and all worship services. Sunday worship is 10:30am. You can visit their web site at www.prospectchurch.org |
