Can someone tell me how to access online prior NJ restaurant reviews in the Sunday NY Times? There is a New Jersey section of the paper that each week reviews one or two NJ restaurants. I find nowhere on the NY Times web site where to do this.... another poke in the eye to NJ?!

Have you tried searching the site with the restaurants name in quotes. Typically items from the Jersey Desk go online a week later. I just did a search on "roman gourmet" and sure enough, there was the review on line.
Not a poke in the eye to NJ.. after all it is the NEW YORK TIMES, not the TRI STATE TIMES

But I do not have a restauarant name in mind... I wish to search on the NJ database of prior reviews to find/discover potential spots to visit. Simply poor web design (on purpose?). Why not just add "New Jersey" as a choice to the drop-down menu?

Ya got me there. But I doubt the web design is purposefully dissing NJ. Thats a bit paranoid dont ya think?

This is taken from the Times site FAQ

What's Not Available: At this time, the following items are not available on The New York Times on the Web:
Regional weeklies (Westchester, Long Island, CT, and NJ) are not currently available (except for purchase in our Premium Archive, one week after publication)
Auction Sales and Merchandise Offerings in the Classifieds
Business Opportunities in the Sunday Business Section
Most display advertisements from the newspaper (with the exception of some recruitment display advertising)

So its not a dis to specifically to NJ.

I know it's not the Times, but the Star-Ledger does post its restaurant reviews online at nj.com, and they are searchable by type of cuisine, county, etc.

If you go to the library, it is likely that one of the online guides to periodicals they subscribe to does provide a database of all NYTimes articles including those in NJ.

You can also read through hard copy editions of the Times at the library.

If you belong to the Maplewood Library, you can access those on-line data bases from home. It takes just moments and your bar code number from your library card to set up your free on-line accout.
