If you're the recipient of garbage faxes, save them! You'll need 10 to qualify. If you have fewer than 10, post how many you have and consider forming a small group to send them all at once then have a party when the check arrives. http://faxwars.com/turning.htm |

I'm in! I just looked in my recycling and pulled out 9! It makes me NUTS that these guys send their junk to me and it gets printed on my own paper - whatever I can do to help penalize them will be great. |

Wish I knew about this last week. I must have gotten close to ten in the last few days and threw them all out. I will begin saving them now. |

Can someone set up a deal like this for junk email? (I have an old email address on which I get more than 100 per day!) |

I have an e-fax, and I love it. I don't use any kind of faxes often, but this has really come in handy. I got a FREE number of my own at http://www.callwave.com. The faxes arrive as an attachment to an email message. I can print them, but I don't have to. I can print them multiple times if I want, without degradation of quality. I can file them with my email or other computer files. The service is free. I can receive my faxes wherever I am where I can receive my email. I've received one or two junk faxes on this number, and they didn't consume any paper. Tom Reingold the prissy-pants There is nothing

Do such services allow you to send faxes in some manner? I have a scanner but no fax machine. I can scan documents and attach them to emails, but I haven't figured out how to fax them out via the Internet. Seems like there ought to be a way to do that. |

I think you have to pay a monthly fee if you want to send faxes |

Yeah, I think it's like $10 a month and perhaps a per-page fee. It wasn't justified for me, since I would rarely need it. Windows has built-in fax-sending software anyway, using your phone line, and I would guess MacOS and Linux do, too. That's fine if you're printing things that are already on your computer. If not, you'll need a scanner to put an image into the computer, and then you can send it. Tom Reingold the prissy-pants There is nothing

Dave, Thanks for this! I get several junk faxes every week. A couple of times I actually tried to call the number that they say will take you off their list (ha ha), but each fax has a different number even if it seems to be from the same company.
