I'm looking for the BEST resort spas within, oh, 2 hours of NYC. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Although I have no personal experience with this resort, I just received an email from Minerals Hotel & Spa in Vernon, NJ.

Anyone have experience with it?

Supposedly, they are having a grand opening...they offer a spa, sports club, resort activities.

I have heard nothing but raves (from several sources) about The Spa at The Hotel Hershey. But, that may be pushing the drive closer to 3 hours.

It's a lovely spa, Greeny, but the whole hotel..town..county...REEKS of chocolate. They even left a FIVE-POUND bar on my pillow one night (of course, I was on a press junket, so I can't promise this to all you spa maniacs). Somehow I wasn't able to focus on my goals of eating right when I was there. Never again! Send me to Canyon Ranch!

I'm originally from Hershey, and I'll tell you, with all those dairy cows and farms around, the whole county outside of the spa (which is across from the factory) reeks of something other than chocolate...

The Sagamore is great, but it's probably around 3-3.5 hours travel time
