I was mistaken for an Air Structures employee today while walking past the tennis courts. I guess the bubble is on for next winter. |

Dave: There has not been a decision regarding the bubbles. If they were here today, it was to meet about the possibility and what they will need to do to make a formal presentation to the board. |

Dave, Look at the plus side. Pretty soon you can rent out your driveway for event parking. |

I already do. Fourth of July is a big cash day. I'm thinking of paving the lawn. |

Hey Dave, Look on the bright side, now the dugouts will block the glow from the tennis bubble at night! |

Especially after the residential units go on top. |

Don't worry. The units will be condos, not rentals. With no school age children! |

Actually, those will be luxury boxes on top of the dugouts. |

I think these dugouts are underassessed. |

Just for the record: will the blasting for the tennis bubble be monitored? |

And let's not forget to build an additional grenhouse bubble facing the tennis bubble, where we will grow all the trees that will replace the ones cut at the quarry. Mary |

There appears to be an urgency among some to turn over public land to a private contractor to run an indoor tennis program. In this case, the big rather hideous looking bubbles would engulf the view of the Baird Center from the park and introduce yet another eyesore to town. To me "trustees" should be people more interested in preserving the unique nature of our village, not closing off public land so someone can turn a profit. |

Here are a few pictures to give a sense of perspective and aesthetics, and two links. http://www.yeadon.on.ca/ http://www.airbldg.com/

I'm getting revved up for a big-time protest if this goes down. These are as hideous as I suspected. |

Well, I'll join you on this one, Gozer, IF they are scheduled to be built at the Baird. But I thought the discussion was to place them over behind the pool near the Middle School. There is not way that they belong at the Baird. BTW, Mary do YOU live in South Orange? by now, you should know we don't have a mayor! Jeez. NCJ aka LibraryLady On a coffee break..or something like it.

oh come on -- the logical place for these is either at the Beifus Tundra or the SOPAC dirt site ;-) if this is *really* what they would look like -- NO WAY! Pete |
