I would like to expand my second floor master bath over an existing room below and I need a general contractor. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, does anyone have an idea what I might expect to pay for a bathroom addition and remodel? I'm originally from another part of the country and I have heard that home improvement tends to be more expensive here than in the midwest for instance.

Ballpark bathroom remodel (A real gutting job where they demo everything, dumpster, labor etc) would be in the ballpark of 15k minimum, and could go up from there depending on upgrades (size of tub, type of fixtures, amount of tile etc). One neighbor just did one for 15, another for 18, that's who I'm using as a ballpark figure.

Call Custom Craft, ask for Tom, they did our kitchen and one of our bathrooms. They are great.

Expect to pay more if you are going to expand the space and relocate fixtures. Running the waste and vent lines isn't easy in a remodel situation.

Thank you! Not only are we gutting the bathroom, but we are expanding it out over a room directly below. I am going to try to keep costs reasonable by doing a lot of the finish work myself (paint, molding, laying the floor, etc.).
