There is a family heartbroken over the loss of their German Shepard dog. The dog was last seen today, Sunday, in Newstead. The dog answers to "Rocky" and is friendly. Please call 908-578-2699 if you see him.

No, I just spoke with the owner. She stated that there have been sightings over the past few days (as far down as the duck pond!). But no one has gotten close. She is asking to please watch out particularly around 5:00ish, he seems to come out.

Sad, but I often notice other loose dogs in Newstead -- there is a large black (standard?) poodle who acts like he owns the place -- seems to run loose regularly. Then, on occasion a small collie, with an even smaller "twin" (miniature and sub-miniature?).

Anyway, my point being that Rocky might be finding company in the area -- and I hope he'll be back home, soon!

Pete
