Grammy Nominee Luciana Souza to perform in
Maplewood on Saturday March 20
Luciana Souza, the latest in a long line of storied singer/songwriters from Brazil, will be performing her Grammy-nominated “Brazilian Duos” program with guitarist Romero Lubambo on Saturday night, March 20 at the Burgdorff Cultural Center, Durand Road, Maplewood, NJ. Souza has received two Grammy nominations for best Vocal Jazz Album, yet her music transcends traditional boundaries around musical styles. She has deep roots in classical, world and new music and as a native of Sao Paulo, has forged these many influences into something unique and refreshing. Souza and Romero will fill the intimate setting of the Burgdorff with the sounds of their beautiful music.
