My parents just gave us the piano that has been siting, unplayed and never tuned, in their apartment for about 25 years. I have some names of piano tuners from the attic, though any suggestsion are welcome. But my main question is, how much should it cost to get a piano tuned. I know this one needs some work because some of the keys stick. Thanks. |

Pretty sure $90 was a yearly tuning charge for a piano regularly tuned. You will probably need a tuning and the action worked on which will cost you $150 and up, depending on how much work is needed. |

Our piano tuner is Albert Lord. His phone number is 973-239-0098. He lives in Bloomfield. We've been using him for the last 5 years and my wife is very happy with him (she's been murder on piano tuners over the years, so her endorsement of Mr. Lord says a lot!!) This was a regularly scheduled tuning, so no maintenance was required, however, Albert has done a lot of technical work on two of my friends old grand pianos. I think he'll run you about 150-250 bucks, depending on what needs to be done. Good luck! |
