Finally tired of schlepping to NYC ... can anyone recommend a good, not-terribly-expensive (READ: cheap), stylist/colorist for shoulder length hair, single process coloring? Thanks! |

I used to go to Nicole at Subway in Millburn. The whole place is um, not cheap, but she's young (so she's on the lower end of their pricing) and she'd handle your hair just fine. OTHERWISE, I can drag you along next time I go to SI, I have a new stylist I really like and she's very inexpensive. (Less than $30) |

I love Tony who owns Salon 44 in Summit. Very practical (keeps telling me not to go blonder because I will have to go more often) and not terribly pricey, around $40 for a haircut I think. |

Hair Chalet on Springfield Avenue. Not expensive. Alan (the owner) does my cut and color. I have several friends that go for color and all are very happy. |

Basile at Garubo is EXCELLENT!!! I think I pay $35 for a cut and Esperanza does my color -- highlights weren't expensive. I highly recommend both of them and Basile works nights so you can go after work. He's really nice and really good.
