Since we live on a corner lot, we cannot get a fence. Therefore, we are forced to get invisible fence for our dog. Has anyone use Invisible Fence and if so, how do you like it? Would you recommend anything else? Thank you. |

Had it installed 4 years ago, neat job. Training of the pup went perfectly, no complaints. At the time it was called Morris Fence, now Invisible Fence. Sort of pricey, I think our system, with training was $1400 (1999.) The pup never got shocked, and always waits many feet from the curb. Even if you call him, he will not go anywhere near the training line. |

I installed an Innotek fense four years ago. It is great, easy to install but it takes a while to bury the wire. It took about 10 minutes to train the our dog. We love it. http://www.innotek.net/ |

You can have a fence if you're on the corner, it just may not be the fence you want. There are limitations on where it can be built and how high it can be (if memory serves, you have to be 10 ft in from your property line, and the height limit is about 4 feet). Also, it needs to be an "open" chain-link type of fence -- no privacy fences are allowed.

Being in the market for one such fence myself, I checked out Innotek. If I read the website correctly, the diference between the cost of the Innotek fence and the Invisible fence is something like $1200! Is that right? If so, what's the difference and is the Innotek one really as good? |

I have Innotek, it is great. Mine, not sure if you can add it did not come with installation. I installed it myself and did the training. Not sure that is an option with Invisible. The install is easy, just takes time to bury the wire. They provide a video to train the dog, I never used it, it took 10 minutes to train our dog. I am not kidding, a few shockes and they understand what will happen if they get near the area where the wire is located. |
