Any opinions on Bradley vs. Lamaze birthing classes? Does anyone know where I can take these? I think I am leaning towards the Bradley method but would love some feedback. Also, does anyone know who offers prenatal yoga classes in the area? Thanks so much! |

I know Kim, a local doula, teaches Bradley method classes. Her email is doulamomma1@hotmail.com. She can probably tell you about yoga classes too - she's a font of information! |

Someone at Motion Fitness is doing prenatal yoga classes, adn you don't have to be a member of the gym to participate. I don't know any details, but you can call the gym for more info. |

Most hospitals also offer classes and will give a tour of the L&D rooms and recovery rooms. I had my kids at Overlook and was pleased with their classes (and my overall experience was good even though both kids had to stay in the hospital for an extended period). |

I took Bradley through an instructor named Pam Fellner. She was great - I don't have her number handy, but the classes were held at The Lactation Resource Center in Chatham, so I'm sure they would have her info. The South Mountain Y has a prenatal yoga class.

Bradley is a wonderful method. I felt Lamaze was actually training me to be a 'good patient,' while Bradley takes a consumerist approach to childbirth services. |

My wife and I had our prenatal classes with Kim (doulamomma) and Gayle will be attending our birth as our doula. They are both great and I'd highly recommend one of their classes over the classes taught in a hospital. Feel free to private line me with any specific questions. |
