Can anyone recommend a good Sushi/Japenese restaurant in the Springfield/Mountainside area? |

Monster Sushi in Summit, very consistant pretty good quality, but sushi pieces are actually to big. Sono in Millburn. Used swing from good to mediocre, but since the competition from Samurai they got more consistent. Samurai in Millburn. Started out really good, a little disapointing the last time I went. |

Thats a bold statement Sylad. Monster is decent at best. The service is one of the things I love about japanese restaurants and monster is not up to par. As for the food, the sushi is definitely original and the non-sushi is average. I have only had one non-sushi dish there and it was fish. I dont know if youre referring to non fish dishes- that i couldnt help you with. I go to Fujiyama which is one block from monster. The food is good as is the service. Its definitely not the best I've ever had but for sushi in the Summit area its definitely worth checking out. Has anyone been to samurai in millburn? |
