I dropped my wallet on the way home from King's yesterday. I noticed it was missing several hours later and after going back to look for it, discovered that some kind soul had found it and left it on the steps of the police station - all contents in tact! Thank you very much to this kind person. What an honest neighbourhood we live in!! |

Last night, coming home on the 10:29 pm train I heard them say "Next stop South Orange" and started gathering up my stuff. I nodded off--for just a few seconds!--but woke in time to be the last person leaping off the train. I followed the other passengers down the stairs, which I completely didn't recognize-- rather disconcerting when you've only just woken up. Picturing myself in Dover, (yet somehow hoping that South Orange had opened up some new stairway I hadn't noticed before) I asked what station this was. Maplewood. On hearing me cry, "Oh no. I slept through South Orange!" a very kind Maplewoodian offered to drive me back to the South Orange station. Yea! these two towns. |

A friend of mine dropped $25 on the sidewalk in front of my house. A passerby knocked on the door and handed the money over to my son, assuming it belonged to someone in the house! Also, I've lost my wallet twice in town (ugh) and had it returned both times-to my house |
