Does anyone know how I can delete these files from my mac that won't go away no matter what i do? When I look it up in Help it says to hold down shift and control when I empty the trash but these three files in there won't go away no matter what I do. Anyone got any ideas? |

Try renaming the file, and even giving it a different (if arbitrary) extension. |

I had that problem. There were a number of solutions that were somewhat involved that I got from the tech help discussions, and even from mac "helpers." As I remember, I just left the ones that didn't go away to sit in the trash, and went about my business, and eventually they did go. It might have taken up to a week or so. |

if you have os x, try using the utility repair permissions. |

does the message say the files are locked? If yes, go to File - Get Info - uncheck the locked box. you should be able to delete it |

You have to hold down the Option key while emptying your trash |
