Does anyone know of a good place to buy medium and large pots and urns for patio and yard use, specifically nice terra cotta, stone and metal. I watch HGTV and see these amazing places in California (dam_ HGTV with all of their programs based in CA!) that have such a huge selection, and am looking for a place in NJ that can offer me a similar nirvana. Thanks.

Handy,
Believe it or not Ikea has a decent selection of pots at reasonable prices. I haven't found anywhere else that has cool pots that I will pay for.

I've bought lovely terra cotta planters at World of Pottery at 100 Grove Street in Montclair. They also have a large selection of glazed pottery from Central and South America. Their prices are good and the wrap everything in bubble wrap so you get it home intact. Not sure whether they have any metal planters. Phone: 973-655-1888 website: www.worldpottery.com

If that's the place by the train tracks I second it.

There is a place (forgive me, I don't know the name) in Montclair that has a nice selection of metal urns. I believe it is an ironworks place. It's on Bloomfield Ave....as you are leaving Montclair headed to Bloomfield, it's on the right side.
