I am thinking of trying this, but given the price I want to know if anyone else has tried it already. Is the food edible? Do they deliver at the same time every day? Are the portions tiny?

Thanks!

A guy I work with does it and the food is surprisingly good and seemingly plentiful! He's lost weight and the motivator is that the food is at his doorstep early in the day, so when he's hungry there's no excuse to reach for junk. They send snacks, too
The only problem I have seen;
He has an an allergy to almonds which is apparently on file. Twice that I know of, they've sent salads for lunch that had almonds in them...
other than that he's been very very happy.

Pippi, thank you for the info. Do you know if your friend gets his deliveries in Maplewood/South Orange? From what I understand, the delivery is relatively new here, so I am wondering if its reliable...

esq2 - he gets delivery in NYC, so I can't tell you what it's like around here. I will say that they seem to be very customer service-oriented. I am sure that if they guarantee something and don't follow through, they'll make good in various ways - free meals, etc. That's pretty much how they handle the almond issue for my friend.

Good luck!

I would be concerned about using a food service which doesn't check throughly to be sure the meals are free of foods customers have told them should not be included because of allegies or other health concerns. Supposed Pippi's friend hadn't noticed the almonds in the salad? Suppose someone with a peanut allegy received food cooked in peanut oil and didn't realize there were peanuts in the food until it was too late?
