Can anyone recommend a place around here to purchase moving supplies, like bubble wrap, boxes, etc

Also, regarding movers for local moves, I know that people like Paul's and South Orange Storage -- are there any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Most storage facilities sell boxes/bubble wrap. Try Pinnacle Storage next to the Home Depot on Springfield ave. And yes, liquer stores sre good resources for boxes but their usually smaller ones.

When i lived in NYC, Uhaul was always the best and cheapest place to buy boxes, and they delivered. Try going to their website or calling one around here for prices before you go to Pinnacle, etc. Also try posting on the MOL classified board. I see people giving away boxes/moving supplies all the time for free.

And Odd Job (there's one on rt. 22 near Best Buy) often, but not always, has packing tape and stuff like that for dirt cheap.

I highly recommend this place, located in Newark:

http://www.uline.com/

We've purchased boxes from there several times for various moves. They are officially a supplier to big business, but the minimum order for most sizes is just 20 or 25 boxes. You can pick it up for free, or have them delivered for a small charge.

Significantly cheaper than I've seen elsewhere.

I got a lot of boxes from UHaul (there's one in East Orange and one in West Orange) and their prices were well below those in several on-line sites that I looked at. But the prices on the Uline site mentioned above are amazingly cheap.

I used U-haul as well and they agreed to accept retuns on any items I did not use. Only thing, I had to return the items to the U-haul location from which I purchased the items.
