Can anyone suggest a good produce market close to Maplewood? A good selection of fresh produce at a reasonable price would be great, throw in fresh cut flowers and a fresh seafood counter, and I'd be in heaven! When I worked in Hasbrouck Heights, I used to go to this great place called Mira Farms, and they have it all. But I'm hoping there's someplace a bit closer. Anyone?

There's one by Drug Fair, but to me it's limited.
There are (at least) two on Stuyvesant Street in Union, one on either side of Morris Ave. I've been to the one across from the Fish Market several times.
There are some down Rt. 22 but they're kind of far.
FWIW, a nice produce market in the area is my dream.

You'll have to drive a piece, but up Rt. 10, right next to the Home Depot, in Whippany (?) is the store of your dreams. I think the name is Kam Man. Fresh! Fresh! and excellent prices. (e.g. tofu for 1.29 or less) Fresh fish and other sea life, too.

Certainly, Fresh Fields/Whole Foods has a "good selection of fresh produce, fresh cut flowers and a fresh seafood counter".

Reasonable prices is the only thing lacking, but then again you get what you pay for. It's actually not THAT bad.

I second the Whole Foods on Millburn Ave. The quality of the produce and fish is phenomenal. (The fish is flown in fresh from EVERY DAY except Sunday.)

Another vote for Whole Foods/Fresh Fields...
Their produce, flowers, seafood, bakery and prepared food sections are tops and worth the cost.
