I woke up to snow this morning (and it is heading your way).

Since it was warm enough for a tee shirt and flip flops last night I was certain that the forecasters had to be wrong. I guess not.

Is any of it sticking in Maplewood? Nothing is sticking in Manhattan even though it looks like a blizzard outside my window. Just wondering if i need to worry about getting home this evening.

It's starting to stick to the roads here in South Orange.

Still snowing ...... so far, about 2-3 inches on our street, and at least one van sliding all over the place. Very wet & heavy snow.

I think that the last big snow in March should be declared a snow emergency & we should all get to stay home.

Think about it - last night we were grilling out & playing in the yard. Spring & hope were in the air. Today, I didn't even want to get out of bed. This is the time for a mass "mental health day" if ever there was one!

The roads are REALLY bad. I couldn't get up my street to pick my kids up. Husband decided he'd do a better job but he ended up going downhill too.
What's the forecast for tomorrow? Will the plows come or will we be snowed in until it melts?

It's picking up quickly. I think most roads are covered now.

Covered by snow or covered by the plows Dave?
Valley looks better than the sidestreets, but it's moving pretty slowly.

Just a forecast note on the for the ice averse--while it'll all be melted by the end of the week, the overnight will bring a wet wintry mix followed by a hard freeze. It'll be a good idea to move some of the slush tonight.
