We're on our second kid with Kindermusik w/ Susan Leone in Maplewood and we love it. The older kid is looking to go back for the young child classes after a bit of a break. |

We've always done Music Together -- first with Betsy Geiger in the Prospect Church, then with Kelley Heinze. It's been great for both our children. But I am curious: anyone have experience with both Kindermusic and MT? What are the differences? |

I've done both with my kid, and I think the bottom line is that it depends on the teacher. I like the Kindermusik in Maplewood particularly for the location (easy to park, nice space with no distractions)but I do like the Music Together music better. There's also Stories In Motion which is along the same lines although more focused on movement then music. Right now, that's the one that works best for us. |

We have attended both MT (love Dina!) and Kindermusik (Susan is excellent!). Both are great. There was more physical activity in the MT classes, which both of my boys need, so we've stayed with MT. To be honest, however, we haven't attended the older Kindermusik classes, so there may be more movement in them. Susan also runs theater classes for older kids which I'd like to have my kids try. She's a great teacher. |

I have found the Kindermusik to be inconsistent. Susan is very good, but some of her other teachers are not as good. I found them less dynamic and therefore less able to keep the kids engaged. I found Stories in Motion to be more fun and stimulating. |

I agree - Kindermusik with Susan is fabulous; the other teacher we had was not engaging and really didn't do a good job, IMO. My daughter went to 3 "terms" but the last one (not with Susan) was not great. |

I was not impressed with Music Together. I would highly recommend Stories in Motion. My children love it. |
