Tomorrow, Saturday, March 20th, Seton Hall advances in the NCAA Tournament, after a successful win over Arizona. SHU takes on Duke at 1:00pm. Not only will WSOU-LIVE appear at Bunny's for the LIVE-Half-Time Show, but confirmation has been received that New York WNBC-TV will have coverage, at Bunny's, during the game. So people, get the kids and enjoy a family lunch while cheering for our HOME TEAM. March Madness is here, so enjoy it. "THE ROAD IS PAVED TO DANCE." |

Yossarian -- why so bitchy? I think it's great to know that SHU is playing tomorrow. What's your problem? |

If that was the case half the threads in this section would be deleted. Is it really bothering you Yossarian, because you didn't bring it up about the Comedy Weekend or High School Play thread. |

It doesn't really bother me. I just thought it was blatant, that's all. I was expecting a thread about the tournament, not an ad. But algebra, to call me bitchy, and to ask what's my problem. Especially after yesterday, when I tried to help you with the hooked on phonics thread by recommending an excellent book that will help your child learn to read. Ouch.

I intend to offend no one. A public message board allows an ability to communicate quickly and to engage in dialogue concerning community events. If you find my piece "blatant", so be it. "THE ROAD IS PAVED TO DANCE". And to Coach K. of Duke -"BRING IT ON". (Yossie, is that Tournament Related enough for you). |

Oh GOD Yossarian? I asked why you were so bitchy on the subject. OK. Is that wrong now? To ask someone why they are bitchy about something? |

Yossie: Do you recall the 1988-1989 NCAA season play. Seton Hall advanced to the Finals with a win over Duke. At that time, I was employed in Research Triangle Park, NC (apart of Durham City Limits). I boarded a plane to come home to watch the game, yes at Bunny's. The plane was loaded with the Duke Cheerleaders and Band members. That plane of passengers was told I was a SHU alumni going home to see Duke get whooped. Knowing the history of College basketball and the enthusiasm of the people on the plane, I was amused and astonished at the well wishes for an expected competitve game, what else could one ask for? GO PIRATES! |

Somehow I thought the Hall lost to Duke that year. It's all a blur. Once Syracuse drops out, which seems to happen either in the first round or the finals, my interest fades. Anyway, if SU can't win this year, I wouldn't mind seeing Seton Hall advance deep. It'd be good for the town, at least to some degree. And it'd be good for Bunny's, that's for sure. Good luck. |

I believe they lost to Michigan that year. I was living in Denver at the time, getting homesick seeing Bunny's on the news. |

Seton Hall and Duke did meet again after 1989, in the Sweet 16 I think (1992). Duke won, but the attraction was the two Hurley brothers playing against each other. There's nothing like living in a pineapple! |

I don't understand the problem with pizzaz mentioning BUNNY'S(A GREAT PLACE FOR PIZZA AND BEER). It's not like no one here doesn't know where BUNNY'S(A GREAT PLACE FOR PIZZA AND BEER) is located(just west of the tracks on south orange). I happen to think BUNNY'S(A GREAT PLACE FOR PIZZA AND BEER) is pretty good and have no problem with business owner's like pizzaz(he owns BUNNY'S by the way, which is a GREAT PLACE FOR PIZZA AND BEER) coming on here and telling us all about significant events. Anyway, that's my two cents about BUNNY'S(A GREAT PLACE FOR PIZZA AND BEER, LOCATED JUST WEST OF THE TRAIN TRACKS ON SOUTH ORANGE).
The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today..FDR.. Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth...G.W. Everyone wants a voice in human freedom. There's a fire burning inside of all us...L.W. |

Dave: I can't resist. If this weekend wasn't the Best College Basketball you have seen in awhile, then you might consider viewing the FINALS of the NCAA tournament, tonight. Big East all the way! Let go UCONN! For the best viewing, where else, but in the "Heart of the Village". |

How did Duke get screwed? I actually had them in my pool winning it all against Oklahoma St (I was one round short obviously). They screwed themselves when with a decent lead and around three minutes left, hoisted two three-point attempts (one by Deng), both shots with I think alot of time left on the shot clock, and both times with UConn comming down and capitalizing by scoring. That to me was the turning point. They screwed themselves long before the non-call at the end. I also think the final game had all the zip of an early December NBA game, unfortunately. The best story of the finals was UConn winning dual national men's and women's championships, something Duke could have been in line to do this year, and something thats never been done before. |

You mean just like Xavier got screwed against Duke with their best player fouling out with 13 minutes to go on a BS foul call |

JJ got killed and they didn't make the call. They made b.s. calls all game, but when a real foul occurs, they swallow their whistles? And yes, I am bitter because I had Duke beating Ga Tech in a 100 person $10 pool. |
