Do you like wine? I am in the process of selling my home and have a wine celler filled with both red and white wines. For a small donation per bottle, I will welcome anyone who wants to stock up. Call Mediamaven at (973) 763-6392 |

drewdix you are speaking my language. A buddy of mine found a bottle of Cakebread out on Long Island for only $75. I read him the riot act for not picking any up for me! I haven't been able to find it anywhere locally |

Hey how about a brand called: We're really sorry that you have to move out of town and sacrifice your wine cellar because taxes are out of control? Sheesh. ---> Brought to you by Sbenois Engineering LLC <- Write in J. Crohn for the BOE

Hey Sbenois, I'm with you, what a bunch of jerks. Someday the moving thing because of the high taxes might happen to them too! Mediamaven made a nice offer and the MOL jokers had to have "fun" with it. MOL is becoming a really nasty place to be. And not for anything, you guys... cjc, drewdix, and redY67 need to be a little kinder. Dave, sorry, I just had to speak out on this total meaness! |

huh? I saw the context of this as someone who is moving that doesn't want to move their wine, and wouldn't mind getting a few bucks for it. Think of it like a garage sale before moving. Mean? Don't see what I'm trying to take advantage of or be mean about. emmie I think you're way off base, or else you know something about this person's situation that I have know way of knowing. but apologies in advance to mediamaven if I missed something, - please let me know. |

I am a little confuse to emmie, I wasn't commenting on anything but one of my favorite wines. Mediamaven didn't mention why he/she is moving. I don't think anyone was being rude. You seem to be looking for a confration where there is none. |

I have a feeling a post must have been deleted which is leading to this confusion, no? |

emmie--huh? Wait until I'm mean before you say I am. I usually only wax jugular on political items. Wine? I'm saddened mediamaven (or anyone) has to deplete his/her collection, but may well help in unloading it. I anxiously await any descriptives from mediamaven. |

Go to "Soapbox", scroll down to the "Goodbye to Maplewood" thread. I guess you guys didn't know why he was leaving. Not long from now I will be in the same boat for the same reasons. |

The problem is emmie--without even reading the Soapbox thread--you're reacting as if I'm preying on some indigent soul. But there's no way to assume I knew this person's plight, even if true. See? Don't appreciate your assumption of my motives, that's all.

Hey Drewdix, Sorry to have jumped on you here but because I had seen his previous post, I thought this was all kind of sad.

No offense, but still huh? Even if we knew why mediamaven was moving, nothing hurtful was said. We were all talking about wine, joking, being nice. |

I went to the basement. Hundreds of bottles of red and white. Very old. Reds as old as 1962. Whites also old. My friend bought some reds and he loves them. I, stupidly, bought some whites, which, now I know, don't fare well after 5 years. Thankfully, the price was right. $3/bottle. Will probably have to throw most of them away. Very nice man. Moving to Boca Raton, Florida. |

em & sb-OK no problem. redY67, It's simple- I don't choose an anonymous handle to post online, anywhere. So I treat what I say and how it comes across as if I were standing around talking to all of you in person. So I wouldn't want anyone in a real, live group thinking that anyone thought I was mean, beause you know my name. My reputation is important. To me, online is no different. If my online name were "boogeyman" or something, I wouldn't split hairs, I guess. Over & out. |
