I need to remodel my bathroom...but not spend alot of money. The job consists of re-tiling, along with installing a new bathtub, sink and toilet. Can anyone recommend a good contractor?

Thank you!

Heather
I have used Felix Petrovski on a number of occasions, I have also had friends use him, he is very nice, did real good work, and is very honest.

His prices are very reasonable, he has also done work at St. Georges.

Give him a call and tell him Gary Walz refered you
His number is 973-699-6854
973-372-7281

Good Luck

You can try Justin at The Contractors, but he's retiring May 1st.

OK- he's not really retiring. But, since he's doing my kitchen, I want to intentionally mislead everyone so that I can be the sole focus of his attention in May.

He's just getting too popular! But, it isn't because his work is good; he's just a nice guy. OK- his work is good and he's a nice guy. I still want to be the sole focus of his attention.

We like Justin too. We've called him for various tasks over the years and he always does a good job.

His number is 973-632-3866.

On that note, if all I'm looking to do is to retile (floors and walls) of a bathroom (say, no larger than 6' by 6'), any ideas on what it'll cost and how long?

I recommend my contractor, named George. He does stuff like this. He is very meticulous and reasonably priced. 908-436-0315. His email is mrgeorge@verizon.net.

Jcl, that depends. As far as retiling, I've had 'labor alone' ballpark quotes from $400 for my shower and bath to $1200. Plus the add on for the material. I've seen standard tile at home depot around $2.00 per square foot and Italian marble for $20.00.

That may not be much of a help...in all my research I realized that the bulk of the cost is in the labor. It's good to find someone who knows what they're doing but doesn't cost a fortune.

I am happy to recommend my contractor, Rick Hoyas. Rick remodeled our (large)basement and an upstairs bathroom. Very competent work, nice guy, quite reasonable prices. You can reach him at: RC Contractors, 973-761-5730
