Any recommendations for a 4-5 day getaway within 4 hour plane ride for just the spouse and me? We don't want to spend a fortune but could really use a grown-up, relaxing getaway -- warm weather would be best -- traveling sometime in late June. Thanks. |

It's been a while since I was last in Bermuda, but it's a short plane ride (90 minutes?), nice beaches and not as expensive in summer as in winter, if I recall correctly. June is too early for hurricane season, on the plus side! |

St. Martin/Maarten. Caribbean, cheaper in June, half Dutch, half French. |

I second Bermuda. We were there last September, just weeks after the hurricane. A lot of foliage was down, but it's still wonderful. I suggest you check out the Harmony Club. All inclusive, couples only (i.e., no kids). Located in the central part of the island, South across the bay from Hamilton. Equidistant from either end. http://bermuda.com |

NYT Sunday travel section just had a short piece on Bermuda. But probably the room rates quoted would be higher in June. Bermuda is wonderful for just a few days because it's so close, it's exotic enough, it's beautiful. |
