Grilled some wild boar this afternoon that was harvested in Pennsy by a buddy of mine. Hickory smoked and a bottle of Beringer White Zinfandel, heaven. Got a pot of meat (venison) sauce in the fridge for tommorrows macaroni dinner. With fresh Italian bread with roasted peppers and of course the Beringers. Also in the fridge marinating since last night, is more venison. Just about ready to go into the dehydrator in the morning for jerky. All this, and Deer season (shotgun) opens Monday. Life IS good! |

"White Zinfandel"? My good man, an excellent wild boar such as you describe (in Italian, Cinghiale) calls for a good Chianti, or a Super Tuscan. Sounds like a great meal, though. |

Spare me. It also could have been either Mountain Dew or Rolling Rock. Beringers over rocks, in my one quart Perfect Mason Jar...That`s nice. Also just in case anybody was wondering...Yes the venison is in the dehydrator. |
