Is this dude awesome or what? The guy is a human highlight film. Did you see the hit he took up the middle against the Eagles? How he held on to the ball is a mystery to me. Shockey could probably earn a post route in the playbook next year. |

That hot dog blundered big time when he dropped that potential TD pass. Now he has quite a bit of time to think about it. |

I'm an Eagles fan and I completely despise Shockey (I hate taunting and he's the worst), but he's an outstanding player and he's way down the list of Giants screwups from yesterday. He had plenty of good plays too. |

It's hard to fault an offense that scored 38 points. This team has shown all year that the no-huddle beats their defense easily -- the first 49ers game, the Tennessee game, Indianapolis almost got themselves back in it with a hurry-up. It was the same thing yesterday. |

Very sad to see the defense fall apart so completely. I, for one, would not be sad if Jason Sehorn didn't return next year. He really hasn't been too "stellar" of late. |

Yes, the offense was great, but they could have done a better job keeping the defense off the field in the fourth quarter. First two series were three and out and took very little time off the clock ... Imus had a good line about Sehorn today "Forget Terrell Owens. Sehorn couldn't have covered Gary Owens (From Laugh-In) ..."

His decline seems to have started when he married Angie Harmon. It's like she stole his "essence". Whenever he makes a good play (like the pick on Sunday), we all say "she sneezed!" |

Hey Bets- "His decline seems to have started when he married Angie Harmon." Is this the Yoko Ono theory of last greatness? Three major knee injuries have turned Sehorn into a has been. One of the three, the first, shouldn't of happened. But some genius had the idea of turning Jason into a punt receiver, and in his first exhibition game at the position he was clobbered and carried off the field. He has never been the same since. |

I remember that, wharfrat. It was a preseason game 3, 4 years ago, wasn't it? Sullymw, the J-E-T-S have my full attention now, unfortunately. Just please let Tampa Bay and Atlanta kick butt in their respective NFC divisional games this weekend! |

How come nobody mentioned what a sore sport Shockey is? I'll agree that he is a good tight end but he's not all that everyone cracks him up to be. Let's not forget the reason he caught so many passes; there's no one else on the team to throw the ball to. Did anyone see Shockey throw the bird as he walked off the field in the 1st quarter? Or how about when the police had to get between him and the fans after he threw a cup of ice at the fans? If a fan threw the ice he would have been kicked out of the stadium. I think they should have thrown Shockey out of the stadium! J E T S, J E T S, J E T S!!!!! I guess you can tell I really DISLIKE the gi-AINTS. |

Ok, I am a JETS fan, but c'mom eb1154 let's be fair. The jints got a great year from Toomer, and Barber caught a few passes too. Shockey is a great talent, but it remains to be seen whether his personality gets in the way. J E T S JETS JETS JETS!! |

Not to beat a dead horse (okay, let's beat the damn thing), but why would the NFL make this statement: NFL rules actually have provisions for replaying parts of games or -- as in this case -- one play. However that has never been done and the league said in this case that it is obviously impractical. . If the rules exist, what better application than a playoff game that determines who gets to continue playing (and receive the increasing $$$ that goes to everyone in the organization, including administrative staff). I mean, in what situation is it appropriate if not a playoff game? They should have both teams show up at Tampa Bay on Sunday, the SF team and the Giants could replay the down, and then the Giants could beat the pants off the Bucaneers! I saw the quote in an article about the officiating rule changes. |

Shockey is a big kid. He should do better next year if the dropped pass humble pie makes him focus more on the game and less on the antics. Meanwhile if Angie Harmon would care for my essense she would not find it neccessary to steal it. |

An article in today's Star Ledger said the NFL is looking in to hitting Shockey with a fine for the ice throwing incident. It turns out that he hit two kids with the ice. My Hero!!! |
