Ok, I just got this call 2 days in a row and it's ticking me off. Someone from the Ledger calls and says that their carrier dropped a complementary copy of the paper off at my house this morning. I say "No they didn't". He goes on to say that he has good news of a deal. I told him to drop off the free paper first - then we'll talk.
I wonder if they'll call again tomorrow - anyway get a free paper? |

LOL, I once called them to ask them to stop dropping free papers in front of my house. I explained that I don't read them, and I don't remember to bring them in, and having them out there all day is like hanging out a sign saying "nobody's home."
Now to get the A&P to stop leaving their twice-weekly bundles! Any suggestions? |

They called me at least three separate times to say they would be delivering a free trial subscription when we moved here. I never received any paper -- ever. Here's the kicker and what you have to watch out for now. After calling me and never delivering the paper they began to bill me! So, I had to call them to straighten out that I didn't owe them any money. I hope this doesn't happen to you. |

We were also given the free trial subscription but didn't consistently receive the paper. When we were finally able to get it on a regular basis, the guy drove through the neighborhood like a maniac. |

We got a call recently from our delivery guy asking us to pay him for the papers. Apparently the Star Ledger stopped billing us and made our delivery guy pay for the papers, which we are then supposed to pay him for. But the S-L never told us about any change, so we assumed the delivery guy was trying to scam us.
We told him to call the S-L and have them explain to us why our billing was being changed. Never heard from him or the S-L again, but the paper shows up every weekend. I'm waiting for the $1000 bill from them, like the water company.
We've got no time to read the paper anyway, so we're probably going to cancel it. Unless someone wants to come by and "steal" ours. |

I found a number on an A&P circular, and they gave me another number to call for their circulation department. I gave them my address, and they said they'd stop throwing their circulars on my lawn.
That was only a week ago, but i haven't seen one since then. |
