My next door neighbor renovated their side porch over a year ago. They STILL have a bunch of construction "debris" (floor tiles, window screens, open bags of grout & mortar) sitting outside directly between our properties which is quite an eyesore. (We overlook this pile from both our bedroom & kitchen). I have asked them once if they could clean it up, but have not gotten any results. What would you all recommend? Are they "allowed" to do this, since it's their own property, or should I contact the town about this? Mr. Rosner - any insight? Thanks! |

Mayehwdrive: I did send a copy of your post to John Gross to forward to the code enforcement officer. I tried to post a message to you the same day on here, but I kept getting a "file locking error". I will let you know (although you will probably know first) what they tell me.

Thanks, Mark. Keep in mind, that I would prefer not to get my neighbor "in trouble". I am just tired of looking at their mess & didn't know what options I had available or how other people would advise handling this issue. |

Usually, multiple attempts at the post, eventually seem to get it through. |

Too late, they are already being handcuffed and taken into custody. J/k. Best thing to do usually is (assuming you already said something to the neighbor) is to call Code enforcement at village hall and tell them what the problem is and what can be done.
