Can anyone recommend someplace in the M/SO area to take kickboxing classes? I'm actually interested in learning how to *really* kickbox (as opposed to the cardiovascular, aerobic workout-type stuff) but any direction would be fine. thx! |

I used to take kickboxing at Blue Life religiously till I broke my wrist (lol, not from the class). I loved the classes, it was cardio, but was very dedicated to learning the proper form and had a lot of punching/kicking a bag the teacher held. Let me tell you, for a brief period in my life, my arms were ripped!! I went back after my wrist healed and felt like the class was a little more cardio oriented, but it could have just been that night. Anyway, I think he has a special price for the first two classes to sample it out. Oh, and FYI, its a women's only class, I don't know if thats what you're looking for. If you have any other question, let me know I'd be happy to answer what I can. Good luck! |

My kids take lessons at Blue Life, so I know thta he does have an adults class than includes men. (If I can work it into my schedule, I'm thinking of joining). I believe once the adult students progress far enough, they do have adult sparring classes, if that would satisfy your needs. |

The Y's class is more of a cardio kickboxing class, but I believe the instructor (Mr. Walker) teaches authentic kickboxing in another venue. |
