Congratulations to Hank Niemitz, Kathy Leventhal and Rick Rafferty for winning the 2003 Maple Leaf Awards from the Maplewood Civic Association! Kudos to Mary Devon O'Brien and her committee for running such a great dinner for 200 people down at the Women's Club. Vic, David, and Fred did a nice job presenting the township awards after Charley, Rudy and Roger presented the actual Maple Leaf Awards. The entire night was a festival of Maplewood Volunteerism. It was good to see former Mayors Grasmere and Davenport in attendance as well as former Maple Leaf Recipients like Ken Pettis. Nice seeing Art Christensen and Mark Gardner there also. Very interesting "meeting" people that have been in town for twenty years like myself for perhaps the first ? time. Nice meeting neighbors you never knew you had. Best of all perhaps was the world class musical presentation by Suzanne Ishee and Young Pak. And the food and champagne wasn't bad either!
