I have neglected my sewing machine for too many years and it needs a good cleaning, lubrication, etc. Can anyone recommend a good place to take it? |

There's a place on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair - it's called Montclair Sewing Center. They repaired and tuned up my neglected sewing machine a few months ago. The address is 496 Bloomfield Avenue, phone number 973-746-9190. |

There is a very nice and helpful staff at a Singer store (not just Singer repairs but that is what is easiest to read on their sign) which is located on Chestnut Street in Union. Chestnut is sort of the continuation of Stuyvesant heading South(?) I think. If I find biz card I'll post its exact name & address. |

Scribbler -- you jogged my memory, and you're right. I haven't been there, but I passed it just last week. Do you know if they repair only Singers? |
