Hi, Has anyone set up a linksys wireless router with verizon dsl? I can't seem to get my home network to work since I switched from direct tv dsl to verizon dsl. If you know of any companies that do in home computer consulting, I would really love to have some references! | ||

I'm pretty sure Verizon uses PPPoE (point-to-point protocol over ethernet). There's a setting in the Linksys configuration screen (probably http://192.168.1.1/) to turn this on. | ||

elh -- I installed a linksys wireless router with optimum online a few weeks ago and was similarly frustrated. If you haven't already tried it, I would definitely recommend you call the linsys help line. It took me well over an hour (most of which was spent on hold), but they were able to walk me through a number of different possible problems and eventually we got it to work.
