OK- perhaps an exaggeration. How about 'walking really fast on the treadmill, throwing a mile of jogging in'? I've actually been using my treadmill & my shoes are old. I've also been alternating outside a bit on the rare nice days. Now that I'm more regular on the exercise thing, I want to buy decent shoes without getting screwed. Can anyone recommend a store with reasonable prices & knowledgeable sales staff for the quasi-dedicated amateur? |

Fleet Feet in Montclair on Bloomfield Ave. Not the cheapest, but very knowledgeable and accomodating staff. |

Sneaker Factory on Millburn Ave. in Millburn. They specialize in Saucony and it's owned by and staffed by runners. Very knowledgeable, but not cheap unless you catch one of their sales. |
