I would enjoy teaching my son, age 7, how to play basketball. Now that it stays light out longer, we've tried to do this evenings in the park, but with all of the games being played, there doesn't sem to be any space for a father to teach his son. Any suggestions? |

There's a basket at Orchard Park that is not usually in use-the "court" is not entirely level, (and the hoop maybe not either!)but it would be a good place to start! |

Is Orchard Park the one on DeHart -- there's a basket there and i sthere one behind Jefferson School and So. Moutain. How about the park on walton (with the red tube playground) there's one there that the ball comes out different sides, my son says it looks like a pair of pants. |

Kope, if your boy likes b-ball may i suggest: boys & girls club in union for winter league basketball(practice once a week, games on saturdays)well organized and the kids get a good feel for the basics. |
