I have a large dining room set that I want to donate for tax purposes. Does anybody know of a local charity that takes large furniture. |

Try calling National Council of Jewish Women. Thrift shop used to be in SO, now I think on Central Ave in WO. Free furniture pickup number listed in phone book is 673-6259 |

The only place I found that would pick up furniture last fall was Salvation Army. They pick up in this area one day a week & are usually booked a month in advance. |

I got this from Ikea. Sounds like a fun deal. I hope the links work, basically you donate some furniture to Goodwill and they give you a very lovely discount at Ikea http://now.ikea-usa.com/email/IKEA_42_online.asp?sid=118&PID=866629&EID=/jump/IK EA42 jml |

Another thought if you want to keep it local...Morrow Church in Maplewood runs a mega-rummage sale with all profits going to missions (charities). They do pick up. Mary 763-7676 |
