Hi,
I am looking to switch home owner's insurance to a good company that will allow a rider for "business pursuits" - anyone have a compnay &/or broker they suggest? Thanks!

That would be "insurance", not "imsurance"!

My understanding is that "business pursuits" coverage is pretty freely written by most HO carriers. The problem, especially in doulamomma's case, is that it doesn't pick up professional liability coverage.

Good point - I'm not looking for professional liability coverage (aka when I'm at a birth, etc.) - just looking for coverage in case someone coming to my home for a class slips & falls - much like a tutor or piano teacher who has students coming for instruction.

I had to get a separate business policy to cover slip & fall & some equipment. Cost used to be around $200-jumped to $350 last year after cutting coverage. My policy was purchased thru Marine Agency downtown. Ask for Doug.
