Hi, I am looking to switch home owner's insurance to a good company that will allow a rider for "business pursuits" - anyone have a compnay &/or broker they suggest? Thanks! |

That would be "insurance", not "imsurance"! |

My understanding is that "business pursuits" coverage is pretty freely written by most HO carriers. The problem, especially in doulamomma's case, is that it doesn't pick up professional liability coverage. |

Good point - I'm not looking for professional liability coverage (aka when I'm at a birth, etc.) - just looking for coverage in case someone coming to my home for a class slips & falls - much like a tutor or piano teacher who has students coming for instruction. |

I had to get a separate business policy to cover slip & fall & some equipment. Cost used to be around $200-jumped to $350 last year after cutting coverage. My policy was purchased thru Marine Agency downtown. Ask for Doug. Oots |
