We recently moved here and have so many things we'd like to get rid of. How do we find out what we can leave curbside for the bulk pick up? Thanks. |

If you haven't missed your bulk pickup date then yyou can leave just about ANYTHING on the curb, but bulk day is just once a year. The only restriction I can think of is construction material. |

I think the bulk pick up is done for the spring. There are two other ways to get rid of your junk. You can call Waste Management and pre-arrange to leave your junk on the curb on your regular pick-up day. They will send someone around if neccessary to look at the stuff. They'll charge you a fee for the extra junk but it's not unreasonable. $25.00 for an old dishwasher. Or you could call J&R Services 908-686-5229 and see what their price would be. |

The final bulk pickup for the spring is Wed Apr 30 in Area 11 (Wyoming Avenue area). Next one should be in 6 months. Ed May

As discussed on another thread, you can't leave out hazardous items like batteries, propane tanks, paint cans, etc. See that discussion(/discus/messages/3131/17186.html?1051493964) for info on the county's hazardous disposal day this Saturday. In my experience, they usually take small amounts of construction debris in the bulk pickup. However, significant quantities must be handled by arranging for a dumpster (big loads) or a separate pickup by Waste Management. |
