Today is Cougar Golf Day and I for one am looking forward to it. While my daughter sits at Columbia High School suffering from Senioritis and counting the days until summertime, I will be out working hard for Columbia High School on the golf course. What a life. Could get used to this.

As to what to wear, except for my MOL toque, I am not sure. Of course my KEDS, but socks or no socks? I hate watching people golf in their shorts, so I will wear my long pants, the very long pants that I will have to roll up if the East Branch of the Raritan River floods. Topless? I think not. Maytbe that old golf shirt from Salvation Army. Sunglasses? Nah, just my anti-glare computer oriented specs. Ball cap? Not unless I get a sponsor to pay me. What else?

Oh yah, what about clubs? They were out in the garage. Saw them just before bulk refuse pickup date .............

"Marilynnnnnnnnnn ! Have you seen my golf clubs?

Unbeknownst to my hubby, Mr. Ed May, his clubs are now in the possession of Waste Management along with that ridiculous black bag, those silly 3 tone spikes, and his collection of antique golf balls. Thought he would never notice. Some guy named Tiger Forest is probably enjoying a round of golf at Brendan Burned right now. Ed, thou best proceed directly to the 19th hole.

TEAM SOMBI REPORTING IN

Thank God that Sandy and Lorne are good golfers! Even so some of Sandy's shots were like pulling teeth. Lorne provided some insurance when Sandy missed. Michael also got in a few good wacks. As for myself, I occasionally got some good wood on the ball. The first tree I hit bounced the ball across the street into the maintenance shed; the second tree richoted right back at we golfers on the tee; and the third tree bounced the ball onto the top of a car in Millburn. That was the only ball I lost. We shot a 75 in the shogun start best ball scrambler whatever format that we used. Without my help they might have shot a 71, but that is, shall we say, "par for the course". (Groan.) Maybe some of the other teams will report in, also. I can tell you that Bob Klein alledgedly got a hole in one (Sorry Bob, I got the car). Ken Pettis looked very dapper in his straw hat. Bill Tomlin was a picture of good health. Kathy L and Vic D. did not golf, but did make the dinner. Team 7 signing off.
